Access Granted to the Unseen Realm
You were made to live aware, not afraid.
Have you ever felt pressure you could not explain?
Like something was happening under the surface, but you could not put your finger on it?
Have you ever wondered if God is actually speaking, or if you are just overthinking?
Have you ever felt spiritual resistance and thought, “Is this just stress, or is this something more?”
And if there really is an unseen realm… how are we supposed to navigate it without getting weird, scared, or distracted?
That’s what this new series at Dreamer’s Church is all about.
Big Idea: Through Jesus, access is granted to the supernatural realm so you can live with confidence, discernment, and Kingdom authority.
Because Dreamer’s Church is a place where brokenness becomes beautiful beyond recognition, we are not here to hype spiritual things. We are here to help you meet Jesus, hear the Holy Spirit, and walk out your calling with clarity.
There’s More Going On Than What You Can See
We live in a three-dimensional world.
What we can see, hear, taste, touch, and measure is real.
But it is not the whole story.
Scripture says, “we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen” because “what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).
That means your life is happening on two levels at the same time:
the natural, physical world
the unseen, spiritual world
The Bible does not try to convince you the unseen realm exists. It simply speaks like it’s normal. Heaven and earth overlap.
And here’s what’s wild. You are not locked out of that realm. In Christ, you are seated with Him (Ephesians 2:6). The church is meant to display God’s wisdom into that realm (Ephesians 3:10). And we are not fighting people, we are fighting spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12).
Supernatural Does Not Mean Scary
Let me say it plainly: the supernatural realm is not a haunted house.
It’s not for a special class of Christians.
And it’s definitely not meant to make you fearful.
God rescued you “from the dominion of darkness” and brought you into His Kingdom (Colossians 1:13).
So when you hear words like “spiritual warfare” or “unseen realm,” you don’t have to tense up. You can stand secure.
Here’s the confidence Scripture gives us:
“No weapon forged against you will prevail” (Isaiah 54:17)
“If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)
“We are more than conquerors through him” (Romans 8:37)
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid” (Hebrews 13:6)
“Greater is the one who is in you” (1 John 4:4)
Jesus Himself said, you will have trouble, but you can have peace because He overcame the world (John 16:33).
The goal is not to fear darkness. The goal is to carry light.
Jesus Has the Authority, and He Shares It
This series is called Access Granted because access is exactly what Jesus gives.
He does not just save you from sin.
He seats you in His victory.
Jesus said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me” (Matthew 28:18-20). And then He turns around and sends His people out with purpose.
He also “disarmed the powers and authorities” through the cross (Colossians 2:15).
And He promised power, not hype. Power for witness, courage, and mission (Acts 1:8).
God’s Spirit does not make you timid. He makes you steady, loving, and strong (2 Timothy 1:7).
This is why in the message we talked about that “All Access Pass” moment. When you know you have access, you stop shrinking back. At first you might feel nervous, like, “Do I belong here?” But then you remember who sent you. You remember what you represent.
And that’s where the enemy tries to talk.
The devil loves to whisper, “How dare you.”
How dare you believe you’re called. How dare you think God can use you. How dare you step into freedom when you used to be stuck.
But the Holy Spirit speaks differently.
“I dare you.”
I dare you to take the step. I dare you to walk in your anointing. I dare you to live like you’re appointed.
You don’t have to be fearless to be faithful. You just have to take the step.
Six Ways to Start Accessing the Supernatural
Let’s make this practical. “Access Granted” is not meant to be a concept. It’s a lifestyle.
Here are six doorways God gave us. These are not gimmicks. They are daily rhythms we must learn to actively practice in our life.
Faith
Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1).
Faith grows when you hear God’s Word (Romans 10:17).
Practical step: choose one promise of God and speak it before you walk out the door each day.
Prayer
Prayer is communion with the Father where you partner with the Spirit.
Bring your requests to God with thanksgiving (Philippians 4:6). Pray continually (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Believe God hears you (Mark 11:24).
And yes, prayer has power. “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16).
Practical step: set a 5-minute daily meeting with God, same time, same place.
Community
You were not designed to fight alone.
Carry each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Spur one another on (Hebrews 10:24-25).
Insight, pastor-to-you: this generation can spot performance a mile away. They are not impressed by perfect. They’re drawn to honest community that actually shows up. Don't reduce your spiritual life to attending church once in a while, rather, live in community and grow with God and with others (2 Tim 2:22).
Practical step: don’t just attend. Serve on Sundays and plug into a small group. Gather with people.
Renewed Thinking
The most significant warfare often happens in the mind.
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2). Take thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:5). Set your mind on things above (Colossians 3:2).
And the mind led by the Spirit is life and peace (Romans 8:7-9).
Renewed thinking is not denial. It’s discipleship.
Practical step: replace one repeating lie with one repeating verse.
Vision
Ask God for Spirit-given sight.
Paul prayed for “the eyes of your heart” to be enlightened (Ephesians 1:18). God pours out His Spirit and people dream and see visions (Acts 2:17).
And we keep our eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2).
Practical step: write down what obedience looks like this week, not someday.
Words
Words are a Kingdom instrument.
“The tongue has the power of life and death” (Proverbs 18:21). Let your conversation be full of grace (Colossians 4:6). A small spark can set a whole forest on fire (James 3:5).
And when faith is alive, it speaks (2 Corinthians 4:13).
Practical step: speak blessing over your day, over your friends, and over every challenge you face daily.
The Battlefield Is the Mind, But the Treasure Is the Heart
The enemy has limited authority, but he specializes in deception.
He prowls, looking for someone to devour, which is why Scripture says to stay alert and resist him (1 Peter 5:8-9).
Paul warned the church not to be outwitted by Satan’s schemes (2 Corinthians 2:9-11). And he described how “the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 4:4).
So what do we do?
Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11)
Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7-8)
A healthy church avoids two errors: pretending the enemy is not real, or giving him too much attention. Jesus stays central.
Don’t magnify the fight. Magnify the King.
Kingdom Overflowing: Don’t Contain What God Put in You
Here’s the heartbeat that ties this all together: Kingdom Overflowing.
Kingdom Overflowing is what happens when God fills you and you refuse to contain it.
It’s taking what you’ve received and pouring it out so your life becomes a Kingdom story.
Paul said grace reaches more and more people, and it causes “thanksgiving to overflow” to God’s glory (2 Corinthians 4:15).
You might feel like a jar of clay, ordinary, fragile, not impressive. That’s okay. God loves using jars of clay to show the power is from Him (2 Corinthians 4:7).
And when life presses you, you don’t lose heart. You get renewed day by day (2 Corinthians 4:16-18).
Overflow looks like:
praying for someone at work
forgiving quickly
serving without needing credit
inviting someone to church who is hurting
speaking peace in a home that used to be full of tension
That’s not weird. That’s witness.
If You’re Looking for a Church Near You
If you’ve been typing “churches near me” into a search bar, we want you to know you’re not alone. Sometimes the first step back to hope is simply choosing a community where you can breathe again.
Dreamer’s Church in Austin exists to help you know God, find community, discover purpose, and live to make a difference. If you want a church near you that’s passionate about Jesus and practical about Monday morning, you have a place here.
Access Granted Takeaways
The unseen realm is real, and Jesus is Lord over it.
Supernatural is not spooky. It’s Spirit-empowered.
You have access, not because you’re perfect, but because Jesus has authority.
The enemy’s favorite battlefield is your mind, so renew it daily.
Faith hears God and takes a step.
Prayer partners with heaven and changes earth.
Community is not optional if you want to stay strong.
Your words can set a direction, so speak life.
Kingdom Overflowing means you don’t contain what God gives you.
Reflection Questions
Where have you been “fixing your eyes” on what’s seen instead of what’s unseen (2 Corinthians 4:18)?
What is one lie or fear you need to take captive this week (2 Corinthians 10:5)?
What would Kingdom Overflowing look like in your relationships, not just your private life (2 Corinthians 4:15)?
Next Steps for This Week
Take a step: Listen to the message, then do one act of obedience you’ve been delaying.
Choose a rhythm: Pick one of the six access points (faith, prayer, community, renewed thinking, vision, words) and practice it daily for seven days.
Bring someone with you: Think of one friend who needs hope and invite them to the next week of the series.
Closing Encouragement and Invitation
Dreamer’s, we dare you not to chase hype, but to chase Jesus with all your heart and live aware of what He’s doing in the unseen.
If you’re tired, anxious, lonely, stuck in addiction, grieving, carrying relationship pain, burned out, or spiritually dry, you do not have to do this alone. The Holy Spirit is closer than you think, and a faith family can make all the difference.
If you’ve been searching for a home church, let this be your sign to stop searching and start building. Come join us at Dreamer’s Church in Austin this Sunday for the next part of Access Granted. Bring a friend who needs hope. We’ll worship in faith, open the Word, and take another step together.
